Know the difference.
There is a difference between the word 'KNOW', 'UNDERSTAND', 'BELIEVE' AND 'ASSURED'.
Perkataan 'tahu', 'faham', 'percaya' dan 'yakin'. Hehe.
Kita boleh kata kita tahu, tapi kita tak faham.
Kita faham, tapi tak percaya.
Kita percaya, tapi tak yakin.
Ada juga situasi kita tahu dan faham, tapi tak percaya dan yakin.
Ada juga situasi di mana kita tahu, faham, percaya tapi tak yakin.
Ada juga situasi di mana kita tak tahu, tapi kita yakin.
Situasi-situasi lain juga ada dengan hanya 4 perkataan ni.
Words are amazing things, right? Wink.
First and foremost, let's list these words and define them :
1) KNOW : Become aware of or have knowledge
2) UNDERSTAND : Perceive the significance, explanation or cause
3) BELIEVE : To accept a statement of truth
4) ASSURED : Confident.
Now, what's with these words?
Aha! Itu adalah masalah kita. 4 perkataan ni adalah masalah kita.
Kakak naqibah saya pernah story satu kisah.
Kisah tentang pemanah dan orang awam.
The story goes.. [That is if I can remember it correctly, but do pardon me if anything is wrong]
One day, a man came to a village and announced to the villagers about his skills in archery.
"I am great in archery. Do you believe me?" he asked the villagers.
The villagers nodded their heads and profusely answered "Yes, we believe you."
"But, are you confident that I am the best in archery?" he asked, again.
"Yes. We do." the villagers answered, obediently.
"If so, then I need a volunteer to stand over at that tree over there with an apple on his head and let me shoot it with my bow and arrow. So, any volunteers?" he asked, hands on waist.
But, to his dismay, no one volunteered themselves. Then, he heard a voice in the corner, "I'll do it!".
He turned, and saw that it was his son.
"I'll do it, Papa, because I believe in you and I trust you can do it." he smiled, getting an apple and running towards the distant tree.
Now.. The story ends here.
